Car Reviews 2008 Dodge Charger Se

The 2008 Charger is one of the better looking cars available today. Every car make and model has a top of the line model and the basic model with the standard basic options. For the 2008 Dodge Charger the SE model is the basic model Don’t misunderstand, the Se is a nice car and completely adequate. Probably the car all of us should get in the Charger line but some people have to have the big engine and all the bells and whistles The SXT, R/T and the SRT8 have the same basic body but just have more bells and whistles and more things to break. The SE costs less money and gets better gas mileage and has smaller less expensive tires and wheels. These are all important things to consider in these really screwed up economic times. Who really needs a car with 425 horsepower and 20′ tires? Oh sure I would love to have a new SRT-8 but do I need it? Heck no. I guarantee that the SE with the 2.7 liter V-6 will get you there just maybe not as fast and probably with out a speeding ticket. The 2.7 liter V-6 will get you a speeding ticket too if you are not watchful of the speedometer. The 2008 Dodge Charger SE has all the standard features that most all of the cars have now days. All but the very cheapest little basic transportation cars have power steering, power brakes, power windows, cruise control, AM/FM CD radio, remote key-less entry, tilt steering column, and a engine lock out control that wont allow it to start without the proper key. The 2008 Dodge Charger SE comes with a 2.7 liter 24 valve V-6 and a 4 speed automatic transmission. Disc brakes are standard but if you want ABS you have to get an optional extra cost package. The 2.7 liter V-6 puts out 178 horsepower so it is no slouch. The SE has outside power mirrors but they are not heated. The Se has 17″ tires and steel wheels but the Se deluxe version has 17″ aluminum wheels. All the Chargers except the SRT8 have a donut spare. The air conditioning system is manually controlled and not a dual zone system. If it is like all the other Chrysler products I have had over the years, the AC will freeze you out on all but the very hottest days in Arizona. Seating is a low back bucket seat design that is manually adjust4d. The radio is the standard AM/FM single CD with MP3 capability and it has four speakers. The 2008 Dodge Charger SE is just the pretty basic good transportation with very few options or upgrades. It drives and handles well, gets decent gas mileage and is affordable. Really, what else do you REALLY need.
